2. What the App Does
ProofPocket helps you:
- Save receipts and proof-of-purchase files for items
- Track return windows and warranty deadlines
- Receive local reminders
- Export Proof Packs and other files
- Sign in with Google so your archive, purchases, and restore stay linked to one account
- Back up and restore encrypted data using your own Google Drive
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to review these Terms with you.
4. Accounts and Sign-In
ProofPocket requires Google sign-in before you can use the App. When you sign in with Google:
- You are responsible for maintaining access to your Google account
- Google sign-in keeps subscription restore and Google Drive backup linked to your account
- Minimal account metadata may be stored in Firebase as described in the Privacy Policy
- If you use the in-app delete-account flow, ProofPocket deletes ProofPocket Drive backups and wipes local app data on the current device as part of that destructive flow
5. Subscriptions and Payments (ProofPocket Premium)
5.1 Free vs Premium
ProofPocket includes free features and optional Premium features.
Free tier includes:
- Up to 100 items
- Local reminders
- Single-item PDF Proof Pack export
- Encrypted Google Drive backup and latest-checkpoint restore
Premium features include:
- Unlimited items
- ZIP export bundles
- Inventory CSV export
- Tags
- Biometric app lock
- Older checkpoint history with up to 5 retained Drive checkpoints
5.2 Billing and renewal
Subscriptions are billed through Google Play. Pricing, renewal, cancellation, taxes, and trial terms shown in Google Play at purchase time control your purchase.
5.3 Managing and canceling
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Google Play subscription settings.
5.4 Refunds
Refund handling is governed by Google Play policies.
6. Your Content and Responsibilities
- The accuracy of the information you enter
- Keeping your own copies of critical receipts and records if needed
- Making sure you have the right to store, import, or share any documents or images you add
- Protecting your device and Google account
7. Permissions and Device Features
The App may request permissions depending on the features you use:
- Camera access for receipt capture
- Photo, media, or document access for imports
- Notification permission for reminders
- Biometric authentication for app lock
If you deny or revoke permissions, related features may be limited or unavailable.
8. Backups (Google Drive)
If you connect Google Drive backup and restore:
- Backups are stored in your own Google Drive
appDataFolder - Backups are encrypted on your device using key material derived from your signed-in Google/Firebase account identity
- Once Drive access is granted, ProofPocket may create encrypted checkpoints automatically and finish checkpoint metadata in the background
- Free keeps your latest retained checkpoint; Premium keeps up to 5 retained checkpoints and unlocks older checkpoint history
- Restoring a backup requires signing in with the same Google account identity used to create it
- Supported restores reload in-app without requiring an app restart
- ProofPocket uses checkpoint-based backup and restore, not true live multi-device merge sync
Important:
- This convenience model is designed for easier restore and may provide less separation than a separate user-managed backup passphrase
- Losing access to the Google account used for backup may affect your ability to restore
- BlueSparrow does not store a separate backup passphrase or recovery key for you
- The in-app delete-account flow deletes ProofPocket Drive backups as part of that destructive flow
9. Crash Diagnostics and Reliability
ProofPocket uses Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting and diagnostic breadcrumbs. This helps identify app failures and improve reliability.
Crash diagnostics are not used for advertising or behavioral analytics in the MVP. More detail is provided in the Privacy Policy.
10. Exports and Sharing
Exports such as PDF, ZIP, and CSV files are generated on your device. If you choose to share an export, it may then be handled by the destination app or service you select.
11. Changes and Updates
We may update the App to improve features, fix issues, or maintain compatibility. We may also update these Terms. If changes are material, we will update the "Last Updated" date and may provide an in-app notice.
12. Disclaimers
- ProofPocket helps you organize proof of purchase, but you remain responsible for verifying store return policies, warranty terms, and claim requirements
- Reminder delivery can be affected by notification permissions, battery settings, manufacturer restrictions, and device state
- The App is provided on an "as available" basis and may contain bugs or service interruptions
13. Limits of Responsibility
To the extent permitted by law:
- We are not responsible for missed deadlines, denied claims, or losses caused by inaccurate user-entered data
- We are not responsible for data loss caused by device loss, account loss, loss of access to the Google account used for backup, or failures in third-party services such as Google Play, Google Drive, Firebase, or RevenueCat
- We recommend connecting Drive protection if you rely on the App for important records
14. Privacy Policy
