ProofPocket — Terms of Use

1. Agreement to These Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ProofPocket ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. What the App Does

ProofPocket helps you:

• Save receipts and proof of purchase (photos and PDFs) per item
• Track return and warranty deadlines
• Receive reminders (optional)
• Export Proof Packs (PDF) and other export formats (some features require Pro)
• Optionally back up and restore your data to your own Google Drive (Pro)

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian review these Terms.

4. Accounts (Optional)

You can use ProofPocket without signing in. If you choose to sign in using Google:

• You are responsible for maintaining access to your Google account.
• Sign-in is used for subscription restore convenience and Google Drive backup.

5. Subscriptions and Payments (ProofPocket Pro)

5.1 Free vs Pro

ProofPocket includes free features and optional Pro features.

Free tier (v1.0):

• Up to 100 items
• Local reminders
• Single-item PDF Proof Pack export

Pro tier (v1.0) includes:

• Unlimited items
• ZIP exports (attachments + optional PDF)
• Inventory CSV export
• Batch export
• Tags
• Biometric app lock
• Encrypted Google Drive backup/restore

5.2 Billing and renewal

Subscriptions are billed through Google Play. Subscription terms shown in Google Play at purchase time apply, including pricing, renewal, and cancellation settings.

5.3 Managing and canceling

You can manage or cancel your subscription through Google Play subscription settings.

5.4 Refunds

Refund handling is managed by Google Play according to its policies.

6. Your Content and Responsibilities

ProofPocket stores information you add (items, notes, attachments) primarily on your device. You are responsible for:

• The accuracy of the information you enter
• Keeping copies of important documents as needed
• Ensuring you have rights to store and use uploaded/imported documents and images

7. Permissions and Device Features

The App may request device permissions depending on what you choose to use:

• Camera for capturing receipts
• Photos/document picker for importing images and PDFs
• Notifications for reminders
• Biometric authentication for app lock (Pro)

You can revoke permissions in device settings. Some features may not work without their related permissions.

8. Backups (Google Drive, Pro)

If you enable Drive backup/restore:

• Backups are stored in your own Google Drive appDataFolder.
• Backups are encrypted on your device using a backup passphrase you choose.
• The passphrase is required to restore the backup.

Important:

• If you forget your backup passphrase, the encrypted backup cannot be restored.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your passphrase.

9. Exports

Exports (PDF, ZIP, CSV) are generated on your device and stored in app-private storage unless you share them. When you share an export, it may be handled by other apps or services you choose to use.

10. Changes and Updates

We may update the App to improve features, fix issues, or maintain compatibility. We may also update these Terms. If we make significant changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and may provide an in-app notice.

11. Disclaimers (Plain Language)

• ProofPocket helps you track deadlines, but you are responsible for confirming return and warranty rules for your specific purchase.
• Reminder delivery can be affected by device settings, battery optimization, or notification permissions.
• The App is provided on an "as available" basis and may occasionally have interruptions or bugs.

12. Limits of Responsibility (Plain Language)

To the extent permitted by applicable law:

• We are not responsible for missed return/warranty deadlines, lost data due to device loss, or failures caused by third-party services (for example, Google Play, Google Drive, or RevenueCat).
• We recommend enabling backups (Pro) and keeping important receipts accessible.

Your use of ProofPocket is also governed by the Privacy Policy.
