ProofPocket – Request Account Deletion
ProofPocket is offline-first. If you signed in with Google and want to delete the cloud account metadata connected to ProofPocket, use the in-app delete-account flow when possible. If you cannot access the app, use the fallback request form on this page.
Fastest Option: Delete in the App
- Open ProofPocket
- Go to Settings → Advanced settings
- Tap Delete account
- Check both confirmations for deleting Google Drive backups and wiping the current device
- Type DELETE to confirm the final removal
- If Google needs a recent confirmation, complete the in-app Google verification step
The in-app flow is the recommended path. It deletes the signed-in ProofPocket account, removes ProofPocket Google Drive backups, wipes the current device, and only asks for Google confirmation when required.
What Gets Deleted
When your ProofPocket account is deleted in the app, we always remove the cloud account metadata tied to your required Google sign-in, including:
- Firebase Authentication account: the Google sign-in account connected to ProofPocket
- Firestore user profile document: minimal metadata such as email, display name, profile photo URL, timestamps, and entitlement fields stored in the
userscollection
The in-app delete flow also removes:
- ProofPocket Google Drive backups: backup files stored in your Google Drive
appDataFolder - Local app data on the current device: the local database, attachments, exports, reminders, widget data, app settings, and local encryption keys
Still not deleted by this flow: Google Play billing history and any provider-side records retained by Google or RevenueCat under their own policies.
Important
The in-app delete flow is an all-or-nothing destructive flow. The fallback request form on this page cannot access your device or Google Drive and therefore only removes cloud account metadata.
Active Subscription?
If you have an active ProofPocket Premium subscription, cancel it separately in Google Play:
- Google Play: Manage Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription or issue a refund.
Before You Delete
- Export anything you want to keep before starting deletion
- Be ready to confirm that ProofPocket should remove its Google Drive backups and wipe the current device
- Cancel any active Google Play subscription if needed
Fallback Deletion Request Form
Use this form only if you cannot access the app. We will review and process valid requests within 7 business days.
What Happens Next?
- Verification: We verify the request against the account details you provide.
- Cloud metadata deletion: We delete the required ProofPocket sign-in account and its Firestore user profile metadata.
- Confirmation: We send a confirmation email after the request is processed.
Local app data: The fallback web request does not remove data on your device. Use the in-app delete flow if you want the current device cleared.
Google Drive backups: The fallback web request does not remove backups from your Google Drive. Use the in-app delete flow if you want ProofPocket backup files removed from your Google account.
