SunshineTracker is developed and maintained by an independent developer based in India, operating under the name BlueSparrow.

We designed SunshineTracker with privacy as a core principle. The App is built to function with minimal data collection, keeping your personal information on your device whenever possible.

5. Health and Safety Disclaimer

5.1 Informational Purpose Only

SunshineTracker provides sunshine window recommendations, UV index information, and weather-based guidance for informational and planning purposes only. This information is not intended as medical advice, health guidance, or a substitute for professional medical consultation.

5.2 Not Medical Advice

The App does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition, including but not limited to vitamin D deficiency, sunburn, or skin conditions. UV safety recommendations follow publicly available guidelines (WHO, EPA, CDC) but should not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

5.3 User Responsibility

Users are responsible for their own sun safety decisions. Factors such as skin type, existing medical conditions, medications, and personal health history can significantly affect individual sun exposure needs and risks.

5.4 Data Accuracy

Weather and UV data are sourced from third-party providers and may not be perfectly accurate for every location or moment. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of weather or UV data displayed in the App.

SunshineTracker does not use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, or similar tracking technologies. The App does not contain any advertising SDKs or analytics tracking frameworks. We do not track your behavior across apps or websites.

SunshineTracker is developed in India. If you use our App from other countries, your information may be transferred to and processed in India or other countries where our service providers (such as Google and RevenueCat) operate.

We ensure that any international data transfers comply with applicable data protection requirements. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, adequacy decisions where applicable, and contractual obligations with our service providers regarding data protection.

9.1 European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland — GDPR / UK GDPR

Legal Basis for Processing: We process personal data under Consent (for optional features such as Google Sign-In, backup, and notifications), Contract Performance (to provide the App's core services), and Legitimate Interest (for security measures, fraud prevention, and service improvement).

Your Rights Under GDPR: You have the right to Access, Rectify, Erase ("right to be forgotten"), Restrict processing, Data Portability, Object to processing, Withdraw Consent, and Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

We will respond to all GDPR-related requests within 30 days.

9.2 California, USA — CCPA / CPRA

California residents have the Right to Know, Right to Delete, Right to Opt-Out of Sale (we do not sell personal information), Right to Correct, Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information, and Right to Non-Discrimination.

We do NOT sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use sensitive personal information for purposes other than providing the App's services.

9.3 Other US State Privacy Laws

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy legislation (Virginia CDPA, Colorado CPA, Connecticut CTDPA, Utah UCPA, Texas TDPSA, Oregon OCPA, Montana MCDPA, and similar) have similar rights including access, correction, deletion, opt-out of data sale, opt-out of targeted advertising, and data portability.

9.4 Brazil — LGPD

Brazilian users have rights under the LGPD including confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization/blocking/deletion, data portability, deletion of data processed with consent, information about shared entities, and revocation of consent.

9.5 Canada — PIPEDA

Canadian users have the right to access personal information, challenge accuracy and completeness, and withdraw consent (subject to contractual and legal restrictions).

9.6 Australia — Privacy Act 1988

Australian users have rights under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) including access, correction, the right to complain, and the right to request anonymity or pseudonymity where practicable.

Indian users have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act including access to information about processing, correction and erasure, grievance redressal, and nomination rights.

9.8 Japan — APPI

Japanese users have the right to request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, and cessation of use or provision to third parties.

South Korean users have the right to access, correct, delete, and suspend processing of personal information, and to receive notification of data breaches.

10. Children's Privacy

SunshineTracker is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or the minimum age required by applicable regulations). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the applicable minimum age.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@bluesparrow.dev. We will promptly investigate and delete any such information.

In the European Economic Area, the minimum age for consent to data processing may be up to 16 years, depending on the member state.

Upon request for data deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable regulations.

12. Do Not Track Signals

SunshineTracker does not track users across third-party websites or apps. We do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals because the App does not engage in cross-site tracking. Our privacy practices already align with the intent of DNT signals.

13. Automated Decision-Making

SunshineTracker uses automated weather data analysis to generate sunshine window scores and recommendations. This processing is based entirely on weather and environmental data (not personal data), does not produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you, is essential to providing the App's core service, and can be understood through the score breakdown feature.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through in-app notification, email notification (if you have an account), and updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.

For material changes that affect your rights, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before the changes take effect.
