SunshineTracker – Request Account Deletion
We're sorry to see you go. If you wish to delete your SunshineTracker account and all associated data, please read this page carefully and complete the form below.
What Will Be Deleted
When you delete your account, the following information stored on our servers will be permanently removed:
- Profile and Account Information: Your Google account email, display name, authentication identifiers, and account preferences.
- Subscription and Support Records: Active subscription status, purchase confirmations, and any support conversations tied to your account.
- Deletion Logs: We keep a minimal audit trail (timestamp and request ID) only as long as required for legal compliance, then remove it.
Local Content: SunshineTracker keeps your sunshine history, saved locations, preferences, and cached weather data on your device. We do not host this data ourselves. If you have enabled Google Drive backup (Premium), you will need to remove any Google Drive backups manually if you want them deleted immediately.
⚠️ This Action Cannot Be Undone
Account deletion is permanent after the grace period. Once your data is deleted from our servers, it cannot be recovered. Please export any important data before submitting this form.
📱 Active Subscription?
If you have an active SunshineTracker Premium subscription, you must cancel it separately through your app store account before or after deleting your account:
- Google Play: Manage Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription or issue a refund.
🕒 30-Day Grace Period
After you submit this request, your account will be deactivated immediately, but limited account metadata will be retained for 30 days so you can change your mind. During this period, you can reactivate your account by signing in again. After 30 days, the account information we store is permanently deleted. Your Google Drive backups remain under your control the entire time.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: In-App (Recommended)
- Open the SunshineTracker app on your device
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Tap Advanced Settings
- Tap Delete account
- Follow the on-screen confirmation steps
- Check all required boxes and type DELETE
- Confirm deletion
Option 2: Request via Form
If you cannot access the app, please fill out the form below. We will process your request within 7 business days and send a confirmation email.
What Happens Next?
- Immediate Deactivation: Your account will be deactivated immediately. You will no longer be able to sign in or use premium features.
- Email Confirmation: We will send a confirmation email to your registered email address within 7 business days.
- 30-Day Reactivation Window: You have 30 days to change your mind and reactivate your account by signing in again.
- Permanent Deletion: After 30 days, we permanently delete your account profile, subscription status, and support history.
Local Data: Data stored locally on your device (sunshine history, saved locations, preferences) will remain until you manually uninstall the app or clear its data.
Google Drive Backups: If you enabled backup, those files live in your personal Google Drive. You must delete the backup folder yourself if you want it removed immediately.
