InspectMate - Privacy Policy
Introduction
Blue Sparrow ("we", "us", or "our") operates the InspectMate mobile application, recipient web pages, and related supporting services. Blue Sparrow is a solo-developer project operated from India.
InspectMate helps users manage inspections, reports, invoices, and public document links. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it may be shared, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.
InspectMate is local-first for many workflows, but it is not a zero-knowledge product. Some data is stored on your device, and some data is synced to the InspectMate backend so the app can support account recovery, cross-device access, media hosting, PDF sharing, usage limits, and support.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account information
We may collect or receive your Google account email address, display name, profile image URL if provided, Firebase Auth user identifier, account timestamps, and account-status metadata.
1.2 Workspace, client, job, and inspection information
You choose what to enter in InspectMate. This may include company name, logo, tax settings, inspector name, signature image, clients, contact details, job addresses, schedules, notes, checklist templates, checklist responses, findings, severity, recommendations, photos, client signatures, and technician signatures.
1.3 Reports, invoices, and shared links
We may process report PDFs, invoice PDFs, invoice line items, amounts, taxes, payment status, invoice numbers, payment instructions, share-token state, expiry, revocation status, and public document access metadata needed to serve shared links.
1.4 Subscription, usage limit, and support information
If you use Premium features, subscription and entitlement information may be processed by Google Play, RevenueCat, Firebase, and the InspectMate backend. We also process usage counters, such as custom inspection template count, monthly issued invoice count, and selected document template tier, to enforce Free limits consistently across devices.
If you contact support or send diagnostics, we may process your message, contact email, app version, device and operating system information, and diagnostic fields you choose to send.
2. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
InspectMate is not designed to collect bank account credentials, full payment card numbers, passwords, government identifiers, health records, biometric identifiers, or data for third-party advertising profiles. Avoid typing sensitive information that is not needed for inspections, reports, or invoices.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to create and manage your account, save work locally, sync app data, generate PDFs, host photos and generated documents, serve public report and invoice links, enforce Free and Premium limits, restore purchases, provide support, debug issues, secure and maintain the services, and comply with applicable obligations.
4. Where Data Is Stored
| Location | Typical Data | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Your device | Workspace data, jobs, templates, inspections, invoices, photos, drafts, sync queue, entitlement cache. | Local-first performance and offline-friendly field work. |
| InspectMate backend and PostgreSQL | Synced app records, usage counters, shared-link state, sync metadata, support and diagnostics state. | Same-account sync, Free limit enforcement, public links, and recovery. |
| Server file storage | Uploaded photos and generated report or invoice PDFs. | Report generation, archival, and sharing. |
| Firebase and Google services | Authentication, limited account and subscription metadata, crash diagnostics, push infrastructure where enabled. | Sign-in, reliability, and notifications. |
| Google Play and RevenueCat | Purchase identifiers and entitlement state. | Billing, trials, purchase restore, and Premium access. |
5. Public Report and Invoice Links
When you share a report or invoice link, recipients can open the PDF without installing InspectMate or signing in. Links use high-entropy tokens and may expire or be revoked. Anyone with an active link can access the linked PDF, so share links only with intended recipients.
InspectMate does not require recipient sign-in for public document pages. We may process technical request metadata to serve, secure, troubleshoot, and rate-limit public endpoints.
6. Service Providers and Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use InspectMate data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate InspectMate, including Google and Firebase, Google Play, RevenueCat, backend hosting infrastructure, Blue Sparrow support services, diagnostics tools, and security or infrastructure providers. We may also disclose limited information where required by law, to protect the services, to prevent abuse, to maintain security, or with your direction.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by applicable law.
- Active account and workspace data is retained while your account remains active or until deletion is requested.
- Local device data remains until you delete it, delete your account, uninstall, or clear app storage.
- Photos and PDFs are retained while needed for app features, report history, invoice history, and sharing.
- Shared links may expire automatically and can be revoked in the app.
- Technical logs and diagnostics may be retained for security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and reliability.
8. Account Deletion
The clearest way to delete your InspectMate account and app data is inside the app: Settings -> Advanced settings -> Danger zone -> Delete account and app data. The in-app flow verifies your sign-in, asks you to confirm the action, deletes account and app data InspectMate controls, revokes shared links, removes uploaded files controlled by InspectMate where supported, and clears this device after deletion finishes.
If you cannot access the app, use InspectMate account deletion or contact privacy@bluesparrow.dev. Web requests can delete account data InspectMate controls, but they cannot wipe app data stored only on a device you still have.
Account deletion is not reversible. Deleting your InspectMate account does not cancel a Google Play subscription, so manage your subscription in Google Play if you do not want future charges.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You can manage notification permissions, revoke shared links, export supported data, delete records, delete your account through Advanced settings, manage Google Play subscriptions, and contact us for privacy requests.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, object to, restrict, or withdraw consent for certain processing. To exercise a privacy request, contact privacy@bluesparrow.dev. We may need to verify your identity and account before acting on a request.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including HTTPS/TLS in transit, Google sign-in, Firebase token verification for app-facing API routes, account scoping, access controls, non-guessable file paths, token-based shared links, and redacted operational logging where practical.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International Processing and Children
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including India and locations where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international processing and transfers.
InspectMate is not directed to children. You must meet the minimum age required in your location to use the app. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in a way that requires parental consent.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last Updated date. Where appropriate, we may provide notice in the app or through other reasonable means.
