India Money Calc — Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
India Money Calc (the "App") is developed and maintained by BlueSparrow Labs ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we treat information in relation to the App, which is designed as an offline financial calculator focused on personal finance, retirement planning and FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early).
2. Information We Collect
Short version: The App is designed to work offline and does not collect or transmit your calculation data to our servers.
a) Personal Information
India Money Calc does not require sign-in and does not collect personal information such as name, email, or contact details. Your financial calculation inputs (investment amounts, returns, durations, etc.) remain private and stored only on your device.
b) Usage & Analytics
We do not use third-party analytics or tracking within the App. No usage metrics, crash reports, or analytics data are collected or transmitted to our servers.
c) Local Storage & Exports
All calculator data and preferences are stored locally on your device using Android's secure storage mechanisms. When you use "Save Plan as Image", the exported image is saved directly to your device's gallery and is not transmitted to us.
Your data remains on your device and includes:
- Calculator input values
- App preferences and settings
- Scroll positions (restored when you return to calculators)
- Ad-free period status (when you watch rewarded ads)
d) Advertising Data
The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain information for ad serving purposes, including:
- Device information (device model, OS version, unique identifiers)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
- General location (country/region level, not precise location)
This data is collected and processed by Google according to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to personally identifiable information collected by AdMob.
3. How We Use Your Information
Because the App operates offline and does not collect personal data, we do not use your calculation data for analytics, advertising, or profiling.
Your local data is used only to:
- Perform financial calculations within the app
- Save your preferences and settings
- Track ad-free period status (stored locally)
4. Third-Party Services
Google AdMob
The App integrates with Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob's data collection and usage is governed by Google's policies:

Future Services
If a future version adds optional cloud backup, sign-in, or third-party integrations, those features will be clearly disclosed and require your explicit consent.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data remains on your device unless you export it manually. We recommend:
- Using device-level backups through Android's backup system
- Securing your device with screen locks and encryption
- Being cautious when sharing exported images (they contain your financial data)
BlueSparrow Labs follows reasonable technical practices in development, but because data is stored locally, the security of stored information also depends on your device settings and security measures.
6. Permissions
The App requests the following Android permissions:
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 and below)
Required to save exported plan images to your device's gallery. On Android 10+, we use scoped storage which doesn't require this permission.
INTERNET
Required to display advertisements through Google AdMob.
AD_ID
Required by Google AdMob to serve personalized advertisements.
7. Children's Privacy
India Money Calc is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Financial planning tools are intended for use by adults or with adult supervision. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us at privacy@bluesparrow.dev and we will remove it.
8. User Rights
Because we do not collect or store personal information on our servers, there is no personal data to access or delete from BlueSparrow Labs. All your data is on your device and can be deleted by:
- Clearing app data in Android settings
- Uninstalling the app
If you have shared data with us directly (for support or feedback), you may request its removal by contacting privacy@bluesparrow.dev.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it. Since we don't collect or sell personal information, these rights are largely not applicable, but you can contact us for clarification.
European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights regarding personal data. Since we don't collect or process personal data on our servers, we don't act as a data controller. However, Google AdMob may process your data — see Google's policies linked above.
9. International Data Transfers
As the App does not transmit personal data by default, international transfer concerns are minimal. AdMob data processing by Google may involve international transfers governed by Google's policies and safeguards.
10. Data Retention
Local Data: Retained on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
Support Communications: If you contact us for support, we retain your email and messages only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry, typically no longer than 2 years.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be published within the App and at https://bluesparrow.dev/legal/IndiaMoney_PrivacyPolicy. We will notify users of material changes through the app's update notes.
