PDF Lab — Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) describe the rules for using PDF Lab (the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1) Who Operates the App

2) What PDF Lab Does
PDF Lab is a freemium PDF tools app designed to help you work with documents on your device, including features such as:
- merge, split, organize, compress, rotate PDFs
- convert images to PDF and PDFs to images
- scan documents using your camera and create PDFs
- OCR to extract text from scanned documents (on‑device)
- add page numbers, watermarks, and visual signatures
- protect/unlock PDFs with passwords and permissions
- convert web pages/HTML to PDF
Most document processing is performed locally on your device.
3) Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by your local requirements) to use the App. If you are under 18, you should use the App with permission from a parent or guardian.
4) Accounts and Sign‑In
PDF Lab may require Google Sign‑In to enable usage limits, sync subscription status, and help prevent abuse.
You are responsible for:
- keeping access to your Google account secure
- using the App in a way that does not harm others or the service
Account deletion (if available in the App) will remove your authentication account. Some related records (such as usage counters) may remain for a limited time for reliability and abuse‑prevention and will be removed or anonymized within a reasonable period.
5) Your Documents and Content
You keep all rights to the documents and images you process in the App.
You are responsible for:
- the content you choose to process
- having the right to use that content
- verifying outputs before relying on them
- keeping backups of important files
6) Free Tier, Usage Limits, and Premium
Free Tier
The App offers a free tier with monthly limits per tool/operation type. Limits are shown in the App and may reset monthly.
Premium
Premium access may be offered as subscriptions or one‑time purchases (depending on availability). Premium typically provides unlimited usage and may include additional features.
Billing, Renewals, and Cancellations
Purchases and subscriptions are handled by the platform you installed the App from (for example, Google Play). You can manage cancellations and renewals in your store account settings.
We do not receive your full payment details from the store. For refund rules and billing handling, please refer to your store’s policies.
7) Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- attempt to bypass usage limits or security controls
- reverse engineer or misuse the App in ways not permitted by applicable requirements
- interfere with the App’s normal operation (including automated abuse)
- use the App to process or distribute malware or harmful content
- use the App in a way that infringes on others’ rights
8) Third‑Party Services
The App may use third‑party services to function, such as:
- Google Sign‑In and Firebase (authentication, database, configuration)
- RevenueCat (subscription entitlement management)
- Google Play / Apple App Store (payments and subscriptions)
- Google ML Kit (on‑device OCR)
- Blue Sparrow BSMail service (delivering support/feedback messages you send)
Your use of third‑party services may also be governed by their terms and policies.
9) Intellectual Property
The App (including its code, UI, branding, and design) is owned by the operator and/or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to install and use the App for your own use, subject to these Terms.
10) Disclaimers
PDF Lab is provided on an “as available” basis. While we work to make the App reliable:
- outputs can vary depending on document structure, fonts, images, and device capabilities
- some PDFs may fail to process or may produce unexpected results
You should review results before sharing or relying on them.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you.
11) Regional Notes
PDF Lab is offered globally. Some additional notes:
- EU/EEA/UK: You may have mandatory consumer rights that apply to digital services and subscriptions. Nothing in these Terms is intended to override those rights.
- United States: Some limitations and disclaimers may not apply in certain states. In those cases, they apply only to the extent permitted.
12) Limitation of Responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable requirements, we are not responsible for:
- loss of data due to device issues, user actions, or third‑party services
- indirect or unexpected damages resulting from use of the App
If local rules do not allow certain limitations, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted.
13) Changes to the App and These Terms
We may update the App, change features, and update these Terms from time to time. When we update these Terms, we will update the “Last Updated” date and may provide notice in the App for significant changes. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
14) Suspension or Ending Access
You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
We may restrict access to features if necessary to protect the App and users, for example in cases of abuse or repeated attempts to bypass limits.
