GITA Pray – Request Account Deletion
We're sorry to see you go. If you wish to delete your GITA Pray account and all associated data, please read this page carefully and complete the form below.
What Will Be Deleted
When you delete your account, the following information stored on our servers will be permanently removed:
- Account Information: Your email address, display name, and authentication credentials.
- Subscription Records: Active subscription status and purchase history linked to your account.
- Cloud-synced Preferences: Any account preferences stored on our servers.
🕉️ Your Spiritual Journey Data Stays Local
Important: GITA Pray stores your prayer history, meditation time, streaks, achievements, and verse reading history locally on your device only. This data is never uploaded to our servers.
Deleting your account does NOT automatically delete your local spiritual journey data. To remove local data, you must uninstall the App or clear App data through your device settings.
⚠️ This Action Cannot Be Undone
Account deletion is permanent. Once your account data is deleted from our servers, it cannot be recovered. You will lose:
- Access to premium features (if you have an active subscription)
- Your account and authentication credentials
- Any server-side preferences
After deletion, you can create a new account, but your previous subscription and account history cannot be restored.
📱 Active Subscription?
If you have an active premium subscription, you must cancel it separately through your app store account before or after deleting your account:
- Google Play: Manage Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription or issue a refund. Please cancel your subscription first to avoid future charges.
🕒 30-Day Grace Period
After you submit this request, your account will be deactivated immediately, but limited account metadata will be retained for 30 days so you can change your mind. During this period:
- You will not be able to sign in or access premium features
- You can reactivate your account by contacting us
- Your local prayer data on your device remains unaffected
After 30 days, all account data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Before You Delete
Consider these alternatives:
- Export your data: If you have premium, use the export feature in the App to save your prayer journey as an image before deleting.
- Cancel subscription only: If you want to stop paying but keep your account, cancel your subscription through Google Play. Your account will revert to the free tier.
- Take a break: You can simply stop using the App without deleting your account. Your local data will be preserved.
- Contact support: If you're having issues with the App, reach out to us at info@bluesparrow.dev. We may be able to help!
Deletion Request Form
To request account deletion, please fill out the form below. We will process your request within 7 business days and send a confirmation email.
What Happens Next?
- Immediate Deactivation: Your account will be deactivated immediately. You will no longer be able to sign in.
- Email Confirmation: We will send a confirmation email to your registered email address within 7 business days acknowledging your deletion request.
- 30-Day Reactivation Window: You have 30 days to change your mind and reactivate your account by contacting us.
- Permanent Deletion: After 30 days, we permanently delete your account data from our servers.
- Local Data: Your local prayer data remains on your device until you uninstall the App or clear App data.
Removing Local Data
To completely remove all GITA Pray data from your device:
- Go to your device's Settings
- Navigate to Apps or Application Manager
- Find and select GITA Pray
- Tap Clear Data or Clear Storage
- Optionally, tap Uninstall to remove the App entirely
This will delete all local prayer history, streaks, achievements, and preferences stored on your device.
