BlueSparrow Labs — Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 29, 2025
Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains how BlueSparrow Labs ("we", "us", or "BlueSparrow") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit our website or use any of the applications hosted on our domain (collectively, the "Services").
1. What information we collect
- Information you provide: When you contact us, sign in to an app, or otherwise register, you may provide an email address, display name, or other contact details.
- Authentication data: If you sign in using third-party providers (for example, Google Sign-In), we receive an identifier and profile information necessary for authentication from that provider.
- Usage data: We may collect non-identifying usage information (pages visited, app usage metrics, errors) to help improve our Services. This may include device type, browser, and IP address in aggregated or pseudonymized form.
- Local-only data: Some apps (for example ImageLab) perform processing locally on your device and do not upload your files to our servers. When an app explicitly states it is offline-first, user files remain on your device unless you opt into cloud sync.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate and improve the Services, provide support, manage accounts, and communicate updates. Examples include:
- Authenticate and manage accounts
- Provide features such as cloud sync for apps that offer it
- Diagnose and fix bugs, analyze usage, and measure performance
- Respond to user requests, support inquiries, and legal notices
3. Third-party services and disclosures
We use third-party services to operate features and analytics (for example, Firebase for authentication and datastore, platform billing providers, and Cloudflare for security). These providers may collect information on our behalf according to their own policies.
We may disclose information when required by law, to comply with legal processes, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BlueSparrow Labs, our users, or the public.
4. Analytics and cookies
We may use analytics tools to better understand how the Services are used. These tools collect information such as pages visited and events triggered. Where cookies or similar technologies are used, they are primarily to enable functionality and measure usage. If you prefer to opt out of analytics, consult your browser settings or use privacy tools that block trackers.
5. Data retention and deletion
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide Services, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Where apps provide account deletion or data export features (for example HabitSet), you may export or request deletion of your data. For assistance with data deletion, contact info@bluesparrow.dev.
6. Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure—please take care when sharing sensitive information and keep backups of important data.
7. Children
Our Services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. International transfers
BlueSparrow is hosted and operated from servers that may be located in multiple countries. By using the Services, you consent to transfer, storage, and processing of information in jurisdictions outside your country of residence.
9. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@bluesparrow.dev. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
10. GDPR (European data subjects)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, or Switzerland, you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These include the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, and request data portability. To exercise these rights, or to obtain a copy of the categories of personal data we process about you, contact us at info@bluesparrow.dev.
Data Controller: BlueSparrow Labs (operational presence in Germany and India). For GDPR inquiries you may contact us by email. If you prefer a postal contact for EU matters, indicate this in your message and we will provide appropriate details or an EU representative where required.
11. CCPA (California residents)
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and opt-out of the sale of personal information. BlueSparrow does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. To make a request under CCPA, contact info@bluesparrow.dev and include "CCPA Request" in the subject line. We will verify requests as required by law.
12. Data controller and geographic presence
BlueSparrow Labs maintains operations and a presence in Germany and India. This presence helps ensure we can respond to inquiries and regulatory requests in those jurisdictions. Our primary contact point for privacy matters is info@bluesparrow.dev.
